Support The Division Of Child And Adolescent Psychiatry At Newton-Wellesley

Since it was established in 2007, Newton-Wellesley Hospital’s Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Division has provided evidence-based, family-centered care and prevention programs. NWH is the only community hospital in the region to provide robust child psychiatry services across multiple domains, including the outpatient clinic, emergency department and inpatient medical setting. The division also offers prevention and wellness programs through The Resilience Project, which provides local public schools with a clinical support team, direct access to NWH outpatient services, professional development programming and workshops for parents.

Philanthropic support has allowed the division to grow its pediatric psychiatry services significantly, while other hospitals have reduced or eliminated theirs. Going forward, the division will continue to rely on philanthropy, which is needed to expand services to ensure that NWH meets the mental health needs of children and families in our community.
